Staying at the Refuge

When you Arrive

Moving out of your home and into refuge accommodation is a huge act of faith and a massively brave step to take. We are on your side.

On arrival at the refuge, a member of staff will show you to your accommodation, which will be clean and comfortable, and will contain everything you need for everyday living.

Our key support team

You will be appointed a Key Worker who will ensure all of your details are recorded, and all immediate paperwork is completed.

We will make sure you and your family have enough food and any other essential items.

We will also assist you to make any necessary arrangements to deal with issues needing immediate attention, such as access to GP or hospital, benefits etc.

During your Stay

Your Key Worker will devise a Support Plan with you which will help you to look at your options and what you would like to achieve, and then look at what you need to do in order to gain those achievements.

Staff will support you with any practical, emotional and health issues along the way.

When you are ready to leave

We have a Floating Support Service, providing ongoing support at this vulnerable time.

Our Floating Support worker will help you to prepare for your move back into the community, and will continue to visit you in your home providing support and assistance.
